5 Ways To Make Your Business Stand Out

5 ways to make your business stand out

Of course, all business owners want to make their business stand out from the competition, but, how? At K2 Analytics, we work with various companies in many different industries, and therefore, we can confirm there is one common denominator in making your business stand out: differentiation.

Below, we have devised a list of ways to go from casual to significant in your industry:

Discover what makes your business different:

In an attempt to make your business stand out you need to discover what makes your business different from the competition. To do this, you need to put yourself in your customer’s shoes, and ask yourself, ‘what would make me purchase a product/service from this company, over their competitors?’ – If the answer to this question is simple to you, then you’re well on your way to making your business stand out. If not, it requires some research to find your unique selling point, and you should consider the following

  • Product/Service – Do you offer a product/service that is so unique that it solely provides real value to the customer? If not, think of ways that you can extend your product/service line to make it more useful to the client, maybe combine its functionality with the concept of a competing product – you’d never know, you could be on the road to a winner!

Become an Industry Expert:

By solving a problem and becoming an industry expert, customers will look to you for information. Learn what’s important in your industry and become a go-to source of information for your target market. Blogging is an excellent way to do this – share your knowledge and expertise!

Offer Superior Customer Service:

You will find there are many benefits of providing superior customer service. As a client, think of a time you experienced poor customer service, you are more likely to tell that particular story of your experience with poor customer service to family and friends, rather than the opposite. As a business owner, excellent customer services let customers know you care about them and that you value their business.

Create a Niche:

A niche is essentially a specific market segment, within a large industry. By establishing a niche within your industry, you will be able to learn more about your target market in more detail, and this will enable you to connect with them on a more intensive level. For example, if your niche market is teens and young adults between the ages of 16-21 – you will find they are tech-savvy, so the best way to target them is through social media, conversing with them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. We previously covered a blog post on that topic, read it here.

Communicate the Difference:

So by now, you should have a greater idea of what it takes to make your business stand out, how to become an industry expert, how to provide superior customer service and create a niche, but, what good is all of that if no one knows about it? Shout it out from the rooftops!! Let people know your business is the best in the industry, because, it is! By committing to your unique selling point and tailoring all of your marketing and advertising efforts around it, you’re well on the way to becoming a pundit in your industry’s arena.
