Global Uptime
Q5: What about backup and recovery of my data?
Backup and offsite archival are provided by Iron
Mountain, the premiere name in data archival and storage. Data will be stored in
an offsite location for 7 years in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Iron Mountain’s facilities and offering are also SAS 70 and Sarbanes-Oxley
compliant. Many client data centers conduct nightly and weekly backups - Our
K2Analytics data center is backed up every 15 minutes.
Q6: What are your disaster recovery contingencies?
Pinnacle has contracted with L3-Communications to
provide a hot site located in Denver, Colorado. In case of any catastrophic
disaster we can have customers up and running in that facility in a matter of
hours. This geographically distinct site is a state-of-the art SAS 70 compliant
facility that will keep our customers going should the unthinkable ever happen.
Q7: What about Global Uptime for 24/7/365 applications?
K2Analytics servers and applications are
continuously monitored at 15 second intervals by an independent outside
source. In 2005, the servers in our Data Center had an independently verified
99.4% uptime. Ten hours of downtime over the course of the year is an
unremarkable number, but when you also consider that the ten hours includes a
move from the previous facility located in Ellicott City, Maryland to the brand
new K2Analytics data center in Towson, Maryland. Without packing up all the
racks and reinstalling at the new location 20 miles north, the uptime would have
been very close to 100%.
